Privacy policy
H2Rijders respects your privacy. We collect no more data than necessary for our services and we do not set tracking cookies.
What data do we process?
- Account data you provide when registering (name, e-mail, optionally car details).
- Content you post, such as station reports or Q&A messages.
- Anonymous visitor statistics (see below).
Visitor statistics
We measure page visits anonymously to improve the site. For each visit we store:
- the requested path and language;
- the referring page and browser type;
- an anonymised IP address (last part zeroed, e.g.
192.168.1.0) and the country of origin; - a one-way hash to count unique visits — not traceable to a person.
We do not use cookies for this, do not share the data with third parties and use it solely for our own statistics. Legal basis: legitimate interest (quality and improvement of the website, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at info@h2rijders.nl.
Sharing with third parties
We do not share your data with third parties without your consent. To resolve a country for visitor statistics we query an external IP database once; the result is cached locally.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and erase your account data. E-mail us at info@h2rijders.nl.
We also use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host on our own server in Europe. Umami sets no cookies and processes no personal data: we only see anonymised, aggregated information such as pages visited, referrers and general characteristics (country, browser, device type). The data is not shared with third parties such as Google, and individual visitors cannot be identified or tracked across websites.
If you disagree with the way we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
